Lord, teach us to pray

For the next few weeks we will focus on what the bible tells us about prayer. To pray means to intercede with or to make petition with God, while another definition of prayer is; Conversation with God in praise, thanksgiving or intercession.

There are many scriptures about prayer in the bible that gives us examples of prayers that were prayed and also teach us why we should pray. I pray that you look forward to what we will learn from the bible in the next few weeks. To reiterate one of the scriptures we placed yesterday: James 5:16b "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
